Charlotte’s 2017 Chelsea Flower Show Garden has been featured in a wonderful article in French magazine ‘Les Plus Beaux Jardins’.
The article describes the ‘magnificent evocation of a Canadian Boreal forest, this small garden transports us in a perfectly transplanted atmosphere, to the point of creating a true ecosystem. […] Inspired by an extraordinary wild environment, this small garden is an island respectful of nature’.
‘A forest atmosphere, of course refreshing and exotic, gently fragrant, invades the visitor of this garden. Inspired by a landscape typical of a Canadian forest, the landscape designer Charlotte Harris wanted to demonstrate that even if only a small area (of the order of 150m2) is deposited, one can perfectly create A garden arriving to suggest a complete disorientation. She was inspired by a trip to Northern Ontario. This Canadian boreal forest belongs to the very firm clan of still intact ecosystems, rich in swamps and the world’s largest thawed freshwater source.’
