Bartlett Arboretum

Project: Visitor Attraction, Work in Progress

We are excited to be working with Snug Architects on this project for Bartlett Tree Experts – the world’s leading scientific and shrub care company.

Bartlett Tree Experts have an expansive and visionary long term ambition for their new site near Reading, and our design harbours a new arboretum, filled with magnificent and unconventional trees; spectacular gardens; budding wildflower meadows; lush wetlands; immersive woodland walking trails; and diverse wildlife and native habitats.

Working collaboratively with Snug Architects (who we have also worked with on Hope Street) to ensure the harmonious cohesion of both the landscape and architecture, a landscape-led masterplan will provide structure for the development of a first class arboretum and demonstration of Bartlett’s scientific approach to landscape tree management.

As part of the development, Bartlett Tree Experts will also provide laboratory and auditorium spaces to create a rich creative campus which will serve as a leading recreational and educational resource for staff and visitors of all ages. From weekend gardeners to budding young botanists, Bartlett Arboretum will be a haven in which to relax, learn, and unplug.
