Cottage Garden, Dorset

This is a productive kitchen garden, with a profusion of nectar-rich, beautiful flowers.

For a rustic look, we designed a chestnut rail fence to divide the space: the top garden is designed in the English garden style and creates views through the sloped space to the landscape beyond. Curved paths in the upper section are surrounded by timber sleepers. The lower garden is filled with a profusion of wildflowers defined by evergreen planting. Native hedging was planted to screen boundaries where needed.
