Singapore Garden Festival 2016

Hugo’s ‘Mystical Depths’ show garden at Singapore Garden Festival 2016 was a woodland landscape in an imagined world – a combination of green planting and mythical pools.

The planting ran across a striking architectural landscape, giving the garden a gradient like that of undulating hills, to a mirrored boundary. The mirrored perspective reflected an illusion of a circular pool at one end of the garden; a play on the imaginary world that the pools contain.

The mystery of the dark waters and the spheres themselves were illuminated with ultra violet lights and a spectacular glow of lighting intertwined within the grasses and ferns.
