Large Shady Garden, Cheshire

Our client asked us to link their large woodland garden with an ultra contemporary extension to the house.

Journeying away from the house, materials soften and become more naturalistic. Seating in various areas allow people to enjoy the afternoon sun and the changing dappled light through the trees.

The lush woodland understory provides a tapestry of foliage throughout the year: fragrant Sarcococca, winter blooming hellebores, and a wide variety of woodland plants including ferns, hostas, and daphne create endless change and interest. The design provides a voyage of discovery with a coherent framework to guide the exploration through the garden.
