Farmhouse estate, South Devon

Harris Bugg Studio has been appointed to design and enhance the existing gardens and wider landscape of this 80 acre farmhouse estate, working closely with Jonathan Rhind Associates to ensure the architecture and landscape are closely integrated.

The vision is to rejuvenate the gardens, balancing historic character with contemporary design. This includes the courtyard, the ornamental garden, productive kitchen garden and thoughtfully designed connection to the wider landscape.

Sustainable land management techniques will be explored to support biodiversity, enhance views and ensure long-term environmental stewardship. Strategies for ongoing maintenance and ecological management will be developed alongside the design to ensure the garden and landscape thrives for generations to come.
