Two Harris Bugg Studio projects shortlisted for MIPIM Awards 2023
Two projects designed by Harris Bugg Studio have been shortlisted in this year’s MIPIM Awards. Our re-imagining of Blackfriars Crown Court into a 1.4 acre urban roof forest as part of Roots in the Sky, a next generation workspace by Fabrix London, has been shortlisted for the Best New Development. Berlin’s Atelier Gardens is shortlisted for Best Urban Regeneration Project. Working collaboratively with MVRDV, Drees & Sommer, Hirschmüller Schindele Architects and Fabrix, our landscape design strategy for the historic BUFA studios radically transforms a paved grey campus to green with the existing pavers, which cover 99% of the site being broken up and reused on site as mulch and growing mediums, with nothing taken to landfill, and over 170 new trees and 30% of the campus planted. The Awards recognise the industry’s most useful, sustainable and visionary projects, celebrating ground-breaking innovation, architecture, environmental qualities, integration and impact on the community.
