Horatio’s Garden Sheffield & East has been further shortlisted for the Selwyn Goldsmith Universal Design Awards, selected as one of just six projects from over 300 UK entries.

Celebrating genuinely people-centred design, these awards recognise places that go beyond minimum standards to be inclusive, dignified and welcoming. The overall winner will be announced in March.

The garden has also been shortlisted by the Civic Trust Awards as one of 46 national and international projects, receiving either a Civic Trust Award or Highly Commended.

Horatio’s Garden Sheffield and East has been named as a 2026 Civic Trust Awards and Selwyn Goldsmith Universal Design Awards Regional Finalists.  Winners will be announced in March.

Charlotte has been names Gardening Columnist of the Year at the Garden Media Guild Awards,  widely regarded as the “gardening Oscars”.

Her award recognises her 12-part Design Details series for Gardens Illustrated, where she explored the ideas, principles and inspiration behind thoughtful, contemporary garden design. Across the series, Charlotte offered practical guidance on a wide range of topics, from gardens on a budget and stylish small gardens to family-friendly spaces, sloping garden solutions, front-garden design and ecological, climate-resilient planting. Each column has offered practical insights into tackling design challenges and explored the creativity and innovation across the gardening and design community that inspires her.
